THOBANI MKHWANAZI

Thobani has over 18 years of knowledge, skills and experience in machinery maintenance engineering field. This experience ranges with different companies in the FMCG industry to lastly working for a machinery system supplier and currently running a maintenance technical support solutions company in the packaging section of the factory.

Thobani has achieved success in firstly qualifying as an Artisan in the early millennium, improving himself to becoming a Technician, a Field Service Engineer and latest a Technical Director/System Specialist at OEM Support Solutions. In this journey, he has been a member and a leader in various aspects on the businesses he was part of, from continuous improvements initiatives (TPM, 20 Keys) to project management. Thobani has not only expertise in maintaining machines, however also in managing the greatest asset on any business, the people. This is in being part of the team, leading and development of people and identifying and harnessing potential.

He now runs an emerging maintenance solutions company that provide maintenance support solutions in the Dairy, Foods & Beverage industry, where he combines the skills of running and developing a company and physically being involved as a resource of a System Specialist in the same business. He also undertook studies in Bachelor of Laws degree, which he is still pursuing. He is a great communicator, business person, a friend, family man and a sibling. He always is optimistic about people, life and the future.
